“H.R.1044 is awful for our country in many, many ways. It seeks to eliminate the seven percent country cap, and what that means is that for the next decade, only those emigrating the United States lawfully from India and China will be allowed. That excludes 190 other countries across the globe from being able to send immigrants who are intelligent, educated, and capable to the United States.”Hilarie Gamm: Green Card Bill Is ‘Anti-Diversity, Anti-Women, Anti-Minority, and Against the Middle Class’
“Those who voted for H.R. 1044/ S.386 really voted for anti-diversity, anti-women, anti-minority, and against the middle class of America because if they vote for H.R.1044/ S.386, they’re voting against American educated professionals.”Hilarie Gamm: Green Card Bill Is ‘Anti-Diversity, Anti-Women, Anti-Minority, and Against the Middle Class’
“The reality is this, we have five huge companies — Cognizance, for the last decade, has been the number one H-1B purveyor. We have companies that people associate as American companies like Deloitte, or Accenture, or IBM, and they’re bringing in thousands and thousands of H-1Bs in addition to sending loads of jobs outside the U.S. to countries like India, the Philippines, Costa Rica, in an outsourcing model. So what’s happening is, we’re basically culling out and hollowing out our American middle class, and we’re making it impossible for white-collar professionals to get ahead.”Hilarie Gamm: Green Card Bill Is ‘Anti-Diversity, Anti-Women, Anti-Minority, and Against the Middle Class’
Tucker Carlson: Senate GOP Trying to Pack Foreign Workers into U.S. Jobs While 18M Americans Are Jobless
“We’ve known for a long time that Silicon Valley wants foreign workers to dominate our economy,” Carlson said. “They don’t care what kind of effect that has on Americans. What’s surprising is that in a time of mass unemployment — and that’s what we have now, mass unemployment — the Republican Party of all people is helping them do it. That’s happening.”
“Yesterday, the Republican-controlled Senate unanimously passed a law called the ‘Fairness for High Skilled Immigrants Act.’ As if the problem with America is that we don’t have enough fairness for people from other countries. No concern about fairness for Americans,” Carlson continued. “The whole process took a matter of moments. It was led by Utah Senator Mike Lee. And without any objections, passed it.”Tucker Carlson: Senate GOP Trying to Pack Foreign Workers into U.S. Jobs While 18M Americans Are Jobless
DOJ says Facebook gave preference to foreigners over American workers
Facebook then implements a recruitment process intentionally designed to deter U.S. workers from applying,” Assistant Attorney General Eric Dreiband said in the complaint. “Facebook does not advertise the positions on its website, does not accept applications online, and requires candidates to mail in their applications.”
Not surprisingly, Facebook often gets zero applications for these advertised positions. And even when U.S. workers do apply, Facebook will not consider them for the advertised positions,” he said.DOJ says Facebook gave preference to foreigners over American workers
“Facebook sought to channel jobs to temporary visa holders at the expense of U.S. workers by failing to advertise those vacancies on its careers website, requiring applicants to apply by physical mail only, and refusing to consider any U.S. workers who applied for those positions.”Justice Department Files Lawsuit Against Facebook for Discriminating Against U.S. Workers
First Thing Senate Republicans Do After the Election is Strike “Sweetheart Deal” With Big Tech and Destroy American Jobs
Republican supporters of the bill act like there is no rational reason to limit immigrants by nation of origin. But of course, there are ample reasons to do so, and Republican sell-outs simply ignore them. Importing tens or hundreds of thousands of migrants from a single country every year greatly inhibits integration. Foreigners coming in large numbers face no pressure whatsoever to adapt to the country they have arrived in. Furthermore, allowing limitless immigration from a single country encourages employers and visa brokers to create a streamlined process to shove as many workers from the same place as possible into America. The new process will not encourage the recruiting of specialist, hard-to-find talent. It will instead import a lower-paid, compliant body of working serfs, which is exactly what it was always intended to do.
After a year of COVID-19 job losses, America doesn’t need more Indian H-1Bs, and it doesn’t need to clear a green card “backlog.” What America needs is fewer green cards and work visas, across the board, and a focus on uplifting actual Americans.
It’s completely fitting that H-1Bs overwhelmingly come from India. The entire project is intended to create a caste system in America. And every single Senate Republican just voted for it.First Thing Senate Republicans Do After the Election is Strike “Sweetheart Deal” With Big Tech and Destroy American Jobs
S.386: “It will be a status comparable to permanent residency with a green card. It will potentially apply to hundreds of thousands of people each year, including foreign students, exchange visitors, NAFTA workers, investors, and more”
By Pedro Gonzalez, American Greatness
“On the evening of December 2, led by Senator Mike Lee (R-Utah), the GOP quietly convened, avoiding public hearings, and gave their unanimous consent agreement for an amended version of S. 386, the “Fairness for High-Skilled Immigrants Act.”
“Under the bill, those on a long-term temporary visa who can secure a job offer requiring a college degree will, after a wait of 270 days, be able to obtain a three-year renewable work permit and permission to travel in and out of the country,” explains Jessica M. Vaughan, director of policy studies for the Center for Immigration Studies.
“It will be a status comparable to permanent residency with a green card, but without having to wait in line or be restricted by annual immigration limits,” she adds. “It will potentially apply to hundreds of thousands of people each year, including foreign students, exchange visitors, NAFTA workers, investors, and more.”
“Senator Lee’s bill would create the biggest train wreck to our legal immigration system,” Kevin Lynn, executive director US Tech Workers, told American Greatness. “Not only that, but it would generate an even greater traffic of cheaper labor coming from abroad with the promise of permanent EAD work permits and eventual green cards for nationals from just one or two countries.”
In December, 2019 Stephen Miller made a promise: “S.386 is dead on arrival.”
But then, a year later, when country is in pandemic and millions of fellow Americans are Unemployed: BOOM! S.386 FLIES! Very Impressive!
“The right-wing anchor asked Miller: “In the Senate, there is a Senate Bill 386… the rights for legal immigrants legislation that would double… the H-1B visas and in so doing it … most of those visas [will go to citizens of] China and to India. And it’s also sponsored by [Utah Republican Sen.] Mike Lee and signed on to by a host of otherwise, generally reasonable people, previously. Is the president going to veto the damn thing?”
Miller responded: “Well, I don’t think that bill, as currently written, is going to be passing the Senate anytime soon.”S.386 is dead on arrival, hints White House immigration hawk Stephen Miller
